What Are Soccer Picks?
A soccer pick is a prediction on the outcome of an event. Within a soccer game there are hundreds of different events to bet on meaning that we are able to supply soccer picks on so much more than the end result. We look at many betting markets including; over 2.5 goals, total goals, any time goal scorer and even yellow cards. Utilising historical data and form, we look to bring you the soccer picks that the bookmakers don’t want you to find or really don’t want you to bet on.
What Are Soccer Parlays?
A soccer parlay is a bet type that depends on the outcome of multiple events. The soccer parlay is a really fun way of betting and can be used to improve the payout because you multiply the odds of each event to get your final pay out.
At its most simple, a two team money line parlay with two odds on favourites (Your profit is less than your stake), you multiply the odds on the two events and get a price e.g. Manchester United (-140 to win vs Southampton) and Manchester City (-480 to win vs Newcastle), in a two team parlay would be +107. Converting to decimal odds, you see the calculation: 1.71 (-140) x 1.21 (-480) = 2.0691 (+107). Putting $5 on each event as a single returns a profit of $4.61 (if both teams win) where the profit on a two team parlay bet with $10 returns a $10.71 profit.
Legal Soccer Betting
The United States opened the doors to online soccer betting when the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) was repealed. Having been in place since 1992, this act all but ended sports betting across the country. In 2018, sports betters and sportsbooks across the country cheered as though the World Cup was being lifted. The overturning of PASPA meant individual States could now make their own decisions on making sports betting legal.
Since that day, May 14th 2018, more States have regulated allowing for soccer betting in brick and mortar venues as well as online. New Jersey was the first State to take an online bet in August 2018.
Online Soccer Betting
Soccer betting was not possible (outside of Las Vegas) before May 2018. This however did not mean that the world of online soccer betting was not growing at pace. Many other countries have been embracing online soccer betting since the internet began. As a result, the United States is benefiting from over 20 years of technological advancements and data networks. This allows you to bet on pretty much anything you want from third tier Bolivian league matches to Harry Kanes next team.
Globally, no other sports comes close to soccer in terms of online betting. Handles across the globe dwarf those on sports like NFL and NBA. Horse Racing is next in terms of betting volumes.
